When one begins to relish ‘bhajan’ (remembrance of God), then sleep, hunger and thirst also go away. One does not care even about these. Sleep, hunger and thirst are the the main things for the sustenance of this body, but these too are forgotten in “bhajan”.
This means that our real relationship is with God. If the real relationship is awakened, then who will wish to keep the false relationship? If we leave the false relationship with the body and this world, then today itself we will be greatly benefited. We don’t have to go anywhere, leaving behind the relatives. There is neither the need to go to the forest, nor the need to become a sadhu. The only thing we need to accept is that the world is in fact not mine. Only God is mine.
The affinity that we have with people, is only to serve them. The affinity we have with things is to put these things to use for others. Neither is any person for us, nor is any object or thing for us. Simply serve ! Those that are called ours, mother, father, wife, son, brother, brother in law, etc. That is it ! The objects are to serve these people, worthy of being served. The body is there’s, therefore engage the body in serving them. We want to take nothing from them. Their things, are to serve them. This is called “karmayog“.
