Think about this question, Brothers and Sisters. Think this through. Who is ours? We will get the answer that Except God, there is no one else that is ours.
“Ishvar Ansh Jeev Avinashi, Chetan Amal Sahaj Sukh Raashi” We are a part of God, we are divinity, immortal, conscious, untainted and blissful by nature. Gita says “Mameva Ansh” (Gita 15:7). ‘In this world, the Self (Atma) becomes an embodied Soul (Jeev), though being a part of My very own Eternal Self (Paramatma).’
This is the main point, most important point and that is Only God is our very own. Let us Think! Is this body ours? Is this family ours? Is this society ours? Is this caste / creed ours? Is this house ours? It this Community, this City ours? Nothing is our. Only God is ours. Nothing whatsoever will stay with us neither the body, nor the family, nor the society, nor the house, nor the money etc. But God never leaves us. He does not have the power to leave us. Only that which is ours will always stay with us.
Brother and sister you all should think about this point. God has been ours from time immemorial. Contemplate on this Nothing stays with us. No family, no society, no money, no possessions. Nothing!!! Only God always remains with us. God can never leave us. that which is everywhere, is also in us. In spite of being Omnipotent He has no power to leave us. Wherever we are, there God is. He can never go far away from you. Whereas no one else can stay with us. Think over it Who is ours? Does our body stay with us? Do the scriptures stay with us? Does the intellect stay with us ? In sleep do these accompany us? We stay with people, but they do not really stay with us. Nothing is ours or stays with us at all times. Only God is ever present. He is never away from us. He does not go anywhere. He cannot be away from us, he will never be able to be away from us. Wherever we are, there God IS. And only He, is always with us. Only He is ours. No one else nothing else is ours.
He is with us in hell, in heaven, in favorable circumstances, in unfavorable circumstances, in childhood, in youth, in old age, even when we die, He is with us. In favorable and unfavorable situations, he is with us. No one else accompanies us in all situations. Think deeply about this, can we ever get such a companion? You will not get a companion like God. In happiness, He is there, in sorrow He is there, in success and progress He is there, in failure, He is there, in youth He is there, in old age, He is there. No matter what we are do or where we are, God is with us. When we sleep, when we wake up, when we talk, sing, play music, when we keep quiet, when we eat, when we are hungry, when we take a shower, when we visit holy places, when we go to the forest, when we live, when we die, the list goes on and on. He simply does not leave our sight. Wherever we go he is with us. There is no other companion like God. He is with us, at death also, and He is also with us when alive. He is with us when in sleep, and also when awake. Accept this fact and everything will be set right.
Everything except God will desert us at some time or the other. He is the only companion that is always with us. Simply believe that He is with us at all times. We have God with us. There is God with us, wherever you go. When we drink, He with is with us, when we eat, He is with us, when we sit He is with us, when we stand, He is with us. When sick, He is with us, when healthy He is with us. God is not the kind to meet and later part. That which meets and parts, is not ours. Pay attention ! There is no end to sorrows. When excreting, God is with us, when urinating God is with us, In every state, He is with us. Whether we come or go, He is there. If doing nothing, then too God is with there with us. While walking, God is with you. Whether going to the village or to the city, He is with us. Even when you die, he is with you. body will leave you, but God will never leave you. He never leaves you, it is an exceptional point. He remains forever. In good times, in bad times He is with us. In happiness, in sorrow, He is with us. Accept that God is with us, then everything will be alright.
“Sada Diwali Sant ke aatho pahar aanand” It is always the festival of lights for a Saint. He is in bliss all 24 hours. When we have God for our companion, how can we be sad? How can we worry? Everything will part ways, but God will stay with us.
Mere to Giridhar Gopal doosero na koyi Govind gopal, govind gopal, govind gopal. Even when the mind goes way, God is with us. Child says to Maa, you are mine, then the mother is very pleased. You have received such treasure ! Goswamiji Maharaj says repeat the Divine Name RAM. Become alert ! there is no one like Ram ! Mother, father, sister, brother, wife, all will die, but Ram never dies. Meerabai, so fearlessly left and went all by herself to Vrindavan to be with the Lord. There is no question of any sorrow when you are God’s. Like Mirabai said that only Giridhar Gopal is mine, there is none other.
Tulasidasji said in Ramcharitmanas, Hetu rahit Hetu rahit jag jug upakaari | Tum tumhaar sewak asuraari || (Manas, Utter 46/3) You two are the only disinterested benefactors in this world Yourself and Your Servant. Swaarth meet sakal jag maahin | Sapanehun prabhu parmaarth naahin || (Manas, Utterkand, 47/6)) Everyone else in this world has his own interest to serve; no one thinks of other’s highest (spiritual) interests even in a dream, O’ Lord.
Why wander around in endless places. He stays at all times. Even if you criticize Him, he is with you. Yudhistir Maharaj gambled off his own brothers and wife. In the end, only Krishna was there for Draupadi. There is no other companion who is or can be as faithful as God. Even when we lose our mind, become crazy, God remains with us. Every moment, every breath, He is with us. He loves everyone like a mother loves her child. Let us take refuge in Him, and be joyful in all situations.
