One Determinate Goal

Have a determinate intellect and move towards only one goal (Gita 2:41). Once you have only one goal you get a lot of peace. You are not concerned with anything else. There is nothing else to do. No concern with what anyone else is doing – you are only concerned with your goal – to attain God. Look at yourself only and be indifferent to the world. Once you realise that you will attain your goal at a particular place – you do not need to go anywhere else or do anything else.

You attain a lot of peace by one determined goal. Your intellect becomes stable. It does not wander. After deciding there is no need to wander. How do I attain God – How do I see God? Just keep your sight on the goal. As soon as you meet someone who is realised, who is experienced – there is no need to look anywhere else.

How should I make the human life successful. One goal – I have to attain salvation. Exclusive concentration – this is very important. You may rise above the web of the world and then get stuck in the web of the scriptures. Be careful. One goal makes you go forward. Determinate intellect is very important. Do not change your decision or goal.

God is very easy to attain – all you need is exclusivity (Gita 8:14) – exclusive devotion – mind and body in exclusive thought, day and night constantly and from the day you have decided to attain God till the day you die – only one goal – attain God. An exalted soul who sees God in everything is in fact rare to find (Gita 7:19). God is everywhere – saints are not. If God is pleased he can give you the world (perishable), he can give you the human body – by which you can go to heaven or hell – but saints will give you God – because that is all that they have. Only one goal – salvation.

Like money is dear to a greedy person and a woman is dear to a lustful man – O Lord – may You and Your Name ever be dear to me (Ramcharitmanas).
