Questioner ‒ Initially you used to consider ‘Sharanagati’ (refuge in God) to be the best, nowadays you put more emphasis on ‘Vasudeva Sarvam’. Of the two which is best ?
Swamiji ‒ In reality, they both are one and the same. Nowadays the talks that are going on about “Vasudeva Sarvam’ they are the kind to validate and boost ‘Sharanagati’ (Taking refuge in the Lord).
Questioner ‒ In the area of family planning, what is more worse of the two – 1) to get operated to prevent conception, or abortion ?
Swamiji ‒ There is greater sin in abortion, and greater harm in operation to prevent conception.
Questioner ‒ When I sit down to worship God (bhajan), at that time, you come into my mind, not God! What should I do ?
Swamiji ‒ If I am remembered, then so be it, but do not try to remember. If the world is remembered then what to do ? It is no sin, if goat-sheep come to mind, if a cow is recollected. But you should not remember on your own. God is the one to be remembered.
Questioner ‒ I have read in one book that become receptacle (paatra, one who is deserving and worthy) of God-realization, so what is meant by becoming a receptacle (पात्र बनना )
Swamiji ‒ Let there be yearning for only God, let all other desires end. Let there be no desire even to eat-drink, to have a place for shelter, or even to stay alive, then you will become a receptable (deserving and worthy of God-realization).
